2:00 PM - 5:00 PM    PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS - PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS - SUMMER 2019
The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.

Fundamentals are the focus. All aspects of game are explored including offense, defense and foul shooting. Join us in Hollow Park for a fun class in the great outdoors. With Mom and Dad in tow kids will enjoy hands on play based learning in nature while painting with twigs and berries, making mud pies, and even going on a bear hunt! Come dressed for play and ready for fun! We are starting the session a week later, on Monday, July 1st! See you then!

Description of Yoga ClassesVINYASA YOGA - MONDAY EVENING CLASS *  A moving flow with some vigor, this class begins with a centering and is a continual movement and a linking together of poses and breath, building heat in the body.  This class consists of more standing poses than seated. VINYASA YOGA - TUESDAY MORNING CLASS*  Moves through active, breath guided, flowing postures, allowing students to fully embody alignment and movement both energetically and physically. The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.

The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.

Your Hobby Quest flight captain will teach you how to build helicopters, gliders and even motorized planes. By the end of the week you’ll know all about how planes fly and what each part of the airplane is for. You’ll even take your planes outside and see them fly! Children learn fundamental STEM concepts of aviation and valuable skills like following step-by-step instructions, measuring and sanding. Program fee includes all materials, and children take home every plane they build.       MAGIC WIZARDS:  Abracadabra! Calling all budding magicians—learn to perform astounding tricks this summer! You’ll make objects disappear, reappear and float in midair. Mystify your audience with your mastery of mind-reading! Of course, no magician is complete without a spell-binding performance, so at the end of the week you'll even perform in a real magic show! Camp is designed to enhance communication and performance skills in a supportive, creative atmosphere. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.

Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.
