In The Spirit Of Working Together As A Community, Woodbury Park & Rec is Offering Virtual Exercise Classes To maintain public health and keep wellness practices going at a time we need it most, Woodbury Park & Recreation are offering virtual classes in Pilates. The classes will be taught by our own Megan Lutz who has been teaching these classes successfully for the last six weeks - maybe some of you have been participating. The classes begin in May and will continue until in-person classes resume. 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM    PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS - PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS Spring Session
The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes can be in person or virtually. Please let the teacher know your preference.

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM    CT Trails Day - CT Trails Day - Bike Trails at Trolley Bed Preserve
Ride the bike trails at the Trolley Bed Preserve. For the beginners the lead bike ride will begin at 9:00 am and last approximately one-hour. For those with more experience the ride will begin at 10:00 am and last for approximately 2-hours. The length of the ride is up to 4 miles, shorter for the less experienced. It is up to the individual. This is a suitable course for beginners, families and people who have some expertise in the sport. Join the Morning Express WORKOUTs!  To maintain public health and keep wellness practices going at a time we need it most, Woodbury Park & Recreation are offering virtual fitness classes to get your mornings off to a good start! The classes will be taught by our own Tricia Brown! Mondays: Bootcamp 7:15-7:45amThis interval-style class incorporates strength (using body weight) and cardio into one intense workout. You will target all muscle groups for a full body training session. Modifications will be given for all levels. Be ready to break a sweat! Weights are optional.Wednesday: Core and Lower body workout  7:15-7:45am 30-Minute Ab and lower body exercises that will work your entire core and sculpt the lower body. This class is for all fitness levels and is a great way to fit a quick but challenging workout into your busy day. Educates on what to eat, how much to eat and why to eat. It’s important to know these things because why, what and how much encourages healthy food choices and correct portions to reduce the likelihood that you will get sick! This class includes a 25-page nutrition manual you will access on Google docs and requires a 15-minute virtual consultation with Megan that you will complete by June 5th. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes can be in person or virtually. Please let the teacher know your preference.
