In The Spirit Of Working Together As A Community, Woodbury Park & Rec are Offering Virtual Exercise Classes To maintain public health and keep wellness practices going at a time we need it most, Woodbury Park & Recreation is offering virtual classes in Pilates and Yoga. The classes will be taught by our own Megan Lutz who has been teaching these classes successfully for the last six weeks - maybe some of you have been participating.   To register, go to woodburyparksandrec.org, and also send an email to Megan at megan@peacefulwaywellness.com indicating the virtual classes you want attend. She will send you instructions on downloading the free app "GoToMeeting" as well as a link with instructions on how to join a virtual meeting from your phone, tablet or PC. You all will be in your own homes and Megan will be in hers. You will need a mat and some props (more information will be supplied). 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM    PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS - PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS Summer Session 2
The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes can be in person or virtually. Please let the teacher know your preference.

Kripalu Vinyasa Yoga moves through active, breath guided, flowing postures, allowing students to fully embody alignment and movement energetically and physically. The sequences integrate standing, standing twist, standing balance, arm balance, hip opener, backbend, seated twist, forward bend, inversion and restorative postures while strengthening and stretching muscles, increasing bone density, releasing tension, and centering body-mind. The class meets at 3 Rivers park on Jacks Bridge Road in Woodbury. In the event of rain, class meets at The Old Town Hall if space allows, or on the virtual platform – GoToMeeting.  Age: Teens and AdultsVirtual classes will be on the platform GoToMeeting from your smart phone, tablet or computer.

The classes will be taught by our own Megan Lutz. The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown.
