THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes are done virtually.

MY GROWN UP AND ME   Instructor:  Courtney EwingAge: 18 months and up with Grown Up                       Time; Tuesdays, 18 months to 4 years:    9:30 – 10:15 am                                                      My Grown up and Me is the perfect way to introduce your budding little artist to the wonderful world of process art. This creative class offers your little one the opportunity to explore different art supplies, enjoy sensory play, open ended projects, and the freedom to move at their own pace. Class sizes are reduced to 8 children to allow for social distancing and sensory bins have been removed for now. Each child will also be given their own personal supplies each class. While things are a little different right now we are thankful and excited to be able to offer a safe space for creativity, fun and connection! ALL materials will be provided.

The players with the lowest round scores at the end of the day will win prizes. The event is for a wide range of players and is a great way for new players to learn about the game and get a tournament style atmosphere in a more relaxed setting. For experienced players, it’s a great way to spend a day talking disc golf and competing with friends while helping grow the sport in the local community. For each player, it can last as long as they want; whether it’s a quick 75-minute round or hanging out all day and playing a “marathon” of Disc Golf. THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes are done virtually.

THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. In this weekly class, our highly experienced fencing coaches from Candlewood Fencing Center will teach you the proper footwork, form, and techniques required to become a competitive fencer and student athlete. THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. For each player, it can last as long as they want; whether it’s a quick 75-minute round or hanging out all day and playing a “marathon” of Disc Golf. THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes are done virtually.

In this weekly class, our highly experienced fencing coaches from Candlewood Fencing Center will teach you the proper footwork, form, and techniques required to become a competitive fencer and student athlete. Sign up now to secure your spot in our Summer Tennis in the Parks program, where participants will learn and play tennis! Limited spots are available due to Covid-19 safeguards.All participants in their first session receive and keep a new age-appropriate racket, ball, and Net Generation tee shirt! Led by an approved USTA Net Generation tennis coach, the program will focus on developing the skills to serve, rally and play - so it’s perfect for beginners. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. This program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game quicker! VIRTUAL MAGIC WORKSHOP - 5 years and upInstructor:  Magician Tom O’BrienAge:                  5 years old and upDate and Time:    You arrange this with the instructor            Location:          Your Home!Fee:                  $25 per session for region 14, $35 for non-region 14 Magic class now available online using Zoom!  One-on-one 30-35 minute session with professional Magician Tom O’Brien.  Participants will receive an email from Tom requesting date and time.  You then agree on a time that works for you both.  All materials will be mailed to the student prior to their session.  They will learn 5 tricks.  Tom is a master at his craft and is a wonderful and entertaining teacher!
