Heard of it but don’t know how to play? That’s ok, we will have an instructor on Mondays so come and find out what pickleball is all about.  Have you played before but would like to continue, join us and join in the fun of this growing sport! Time:               MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS:  10:00 am – 12:00 pmLocation:           Woodbury Middle School CourtsMondays will have an instructor, Wednesdays will be instructor free.Dates:              5/03 - 6/30. 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM    PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS-VIRTUAL - PRIVATE VIOLIN and VIOLA LESSONS Spring Session 2 VIRTUAL
THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes are done virtually.

MY GROWN UP AND ME   Instructor:  Courtney EwingAge: 18 months and up with Grown Up                       Time; Tuesdays, 18 months to 4 years:    9:30 – 10:15 am                                                      My Grown up and Me is the perfect way to introduce your budding little artist to the wonderful world of process art. This creative class offers your little one the opportunity to explore different art supplies, enjoy sensory play, open ended projects, and the freedom to move at their own pace. Class sizes are reduced to 8 children to allow for social distancing and sensory bins have been removed for now. Each child will also be given their own personal supplies each class. While things are a little different right now we are thankful and excited to be able to offer a safe space for creativity, fun and connection! ALL materials will be provided.

The players with the lowest round scores at the end of the day will win prizes. The event is for a wide range of players and is a great way for new players to learn about the game and get a tournament style atmosphere in a more relaxed setting. For experienced players, it’s a great way to spend a day talking disc golf and competing with friends while helping grow the sport in the local community. For each player, it can last as long as they want; whether it’s a quick 75-minute round or hanging out all day and playing a “marathon” of Disc Golf. In this weekly class, our highly experienced fencing coaches from Candlewood Fencing Center will teach you the proper footwork, form, and techniques required to become a competitive fencer and student athlete. In this weekly class, our highly experienced fencing coaches from Candlewood Fencing Center will teach you the proper footwork, form, and techniques required to become a competitive fencer and student athlete. This program will run on Fridays from 3:00pm - 4:30pm for 6 consecutive weeks.*All necessary equipment and protective gear will be provided. Pickleball for AdultsPickleball is here in Woodbury! This sport has been described as a that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, it is fun and energizing, haven’t heard of it? Heard of it but don’t know how to play? That’s ok, we will have an instructor on Mondays so come and find out what pickleball is all about.  Have you played before but would like to continue, join us and join in the fun of this growing sport! Time:               MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS:  10:00 am – 12:00 pmLocation:           Woodbury Middle School CourtsMondays will have an instructor, Wednesdays will be instructor free.Dates:              5/03 - 6/30. THESE CLASSES ARE VIRTUAL.The student is responsible for renting or buying his or her own instrument. The instructor may require one or more music books be purchased prior to the start of lessons. Classical method of violin playing is taught, though these techniques can be applied to all styles of violin playing including jazz, country and Irish fiddle. Lisa Laquidara is a professional violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music and performs in several orchestras throughout Connecticut. She has taught at the Naugatuck Valley Community College, Westover School and St. Bridget School, and is currently the violin and viola teacher at the Taft School in Watertown. These classes are done virtually.

Build stamina, improve coordination and flexibility, and burn calories with this fun and challenging workout in a no judgement zone.  The last part of class will focus on full body conditioning and core work. ALL levels are welcome as modifications will be given. Bring a mat and water bottle and light free weights.

The players with the lowest round scores at the end of the day will win prizes. The event is for a wide range of players and is a great way for new players to learn about the game and get a tournament style atmosphere in a more relaxed setting. For experienced players, it’s a great way to spend a day talking disc golf and competing with friends while helping grow the sport in the local community. For each player, it can last as long as they want; whether it’s a quick 75-minute round or hanging out all day and playing a “marathon” of Disc Golf.
